We were trying to eat at a picnic table at Falling Foss, near Whitby, but this little critter seemed unperturbed that we wanted the table and continued exploring regardless. Not sure what kind of bug it is, but it looked interesting.

This is shield bug a.k.a stink bug. They can release a stinky chemical when threatened. There are thousands of these in the world. A very succesful insect evolutionwise.
