Filey Beach

Filey is a town I’d not been to until recently and I love it. Of all the towns along the East coast, this has the best balance of everything. Small with just enough cafe’s and shops without all the brash arcades, not too busy, lovely beach, pebbles and rocks. Perfect.

Scarborough South Beach

So late in 2016 I decided to start a project photographing the Yorkshire coast. I spent much of my youth at places like Scarborough, Bridlington, Hornsea, Barmston and Fraisthorpe and re-visiting this coastline has been a healing journey. I’ve fallen in love with these beaches again. I don’t know what it is about the seashore, but every time I visit I come away refreshed and renewed.
