Future, I used to Love You

Part of my observations project for this summer, this small picture frame is stuck on the side of Woodhouse Lane Car Park in Leeds. It’s a council run car park and knowing how the council suffers from a distinct humour bi-pass, I’m amazed that this is still there. (Or maybe they don’t know it’s there!)

These little picture frames seem to be in various parts of Leeds, but no-one seems to know for sure the story behind them. Either way, I like it and I hope they keep it there after the refurbishment.

I see this every day while waiting for the bus home. It still amuses me after all this time.

I’d love to know the rationale behind it.

Checkmate

This chess set is located outside the Central Library and Art Gallery and whenever the sun shines there are always people playing. Some of the games get quite a crowd and it’s hard to get a shot in, but the day I was there it wasn’t too bad. The previous match had just finished and the new game was about 4 or 5 moves in when I took the shot.
