Bangkok: Traffic

I loved walking along the skybridges of the BTS. They don’t cover the whole of the BTS system, but it is a great way to look out at the city. These images are taken near the Asok and Siam stations along the Sukhumvit line.

Bangkok: Up and Down

A short walk from the Petchaburi MRT station is the Makkasan rail link to Suvarnbhumi Airport. Take the steps below the station and you see this vast empty area. I’ve been here twice and never seen anyone else. It’s like a movie set waiting for a story.

Terminal 21 is a shopping mall themed like an airport with each floor taking on a certain destination. The middle is full of escalators, including a pair that traverse several floors in one go – not for those with a fear of heights.

Bangkok: BTS and MRT

The BTS Skybridge near Terminal 21 shopping mall in Asok and the steps from the Sukhumvit MRT station. The two stations are interconnected so it’s easy to traverse from the skytrain to the subway. Bangkok has one of the best public transport systems I’ve come across.
