Glass Caves
Glass Caves, hailing from Pontefract, performing at the Lending Room, Leeds, 15 July 2017.
The Lending Room is my favourite venue in Leeds. The lighting is better here than other smaller venues and there’s usually space to move about without getting in anyone’s way. Not this night though. I’ve never seen it so full, but such a great atmosphere.
As for the band, a brilliant set that started with ‘Do You Have A Name’ (my favourite song for this year) and ended with Swim with the crowd singing along. They reminded me a lot of bands like The Verve and early Oasis. Well worth a listen.
Peakes – Vol 2
Peakes played their first headline gig on Thursday to launch their new single ‘Saint’, and it was a stunning performance. This is the third time I’ve seen these guys play and they just get better and better. Molly’s voice is sublime and never misses a note. A brilliant set.
You can listen to ‘Saint’ on Spotify and Soundcloud and on i-tunes.
